It reaches 4867 meters above sea level, it is located 100 kilometers from Cusco approximately, and Ausangate is reached through the town of Pacchanta, where you’ll find hot springs. AUSANGATE MOUNTAIN AND ITS SEVEN LAKES FULL DAY
When you approach the snowy peak, you’ll see seven lakes, each one with different characteristics and names. In the Inca’s time this snow-capped mountain was sacred, today those who aspire to be Andean priests carry out their initiation here, immersing themselves in one of the lakes to receive the blessing of the Apu or mountain.
