About this tour

Visiting Humantay Lake is a must on any trip to Cusco, and it’s perfect for nature lovers. Fed by meltwater from the Humantay glacier, the lake sits at 4,200 meters (13,780 feet) above sea level and glows a striking turquoise. As you make your way up, you’ll be surrounded by mountain scenery, with snow-capped peaks growing ever closer. It’s considered one of the highest places you can visit in the region. We offer you an unforgettable experience: because we leave earlier than the standard tours, you’ll be among the first to reach the lake and enjoy this breathtaking landscape in peace.

Our guide stays with you all the way to Humantay Lake and adapts to your pace, so there’s nothing to worry about. The hike takes about two hours, and once you reach the lake you’ll have time to soak in its beauty and take amazing photos. If you’ve just arrived in Cusco, we recommend spending a few days acclimatizing before doing this tour.
