About this tour

This customized 5-day package is a must! Compared to the 4-day itinerary, you get an extra day to explore Cusco’s most famous attractions, from archaeological sites to breathtaking natural landscapes. First, we’ll visit the Sacred Valley, where you’ll discover its top highlights — Chinchero, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines and Ollantaytambo — and learn about their history. The next day is all about Machu Picchu: you’ll be amazed by the scenery, explore hidden corners and take incredible photos. Finally, we’ll visit Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), about a two-hour hike to the top through stunning landscapes with views of the mighty Apu Ausangate — the perfect natural wonder to round out your trip to Cusco. This package is the ideal worry-free trip!

Conventional tours usually travel in crowded buses, with the guide splitting the group to explain everything in several languages — leaving little chance to really get to know each site or enjoy the short time given for photos. Peruvian Path offers a private, customized tour in small groups of 2 to 8 people, visiting the most important archaeological sites so you can truly discover and experience Inca traditions.

And with an expert local guide, a quality experience is guaranteed. It’s the best way to make the most of your time and see as much as possible in five days!

About this tour

Are hotels included in the package?

Yes. The package includes accommodation for the nights shown in the itinerary. Hotel upgrades are available on request — just let us know your preferences.

Can I customize the itinerary?

Absolutely. We can change the order of the days, add extra nights or include other tours such as Rainbow Mountain or Humantay Lake.

How far in advance should I book?

Machu Picchu tickets and train seats sell out, especially from May to September. We recommend booking at least 1–2 months in advance.

Is this package suitable if I've never been at high altitude?

Yes. The itinerary starts with lower-altitude days (Cusco and the Sacred Valley) before the high-altitude hikes, so your body can acclimatize gradually.
