Adventure tours in Cusco: high-Andean mountains, turquoise lagoons and Inca fortresses with small groups and certified local guides.

Adventure

Adventure in the high Andes, with local experts

Cusco is one of the best adventure destinations in South America. In a single day you can climb to the Rainbow Mountain at more than 5,000 m, walk to the turquoise waters of Humantay Lake or reach Inca fortresses that only a few travelers know.

Our adventure tours are designed for active travelers who want more than a bus ride: early departures to avoid the crowds, small groups, oxygen and first-aid kit on every trip, and guides born in the Andes who know every trail and its weather.

FAQ

Questions about Adventure

Can’t find what you are looking for? Write to us and a specialist will answer you personally.

Do I need previous experience for these tours?

No technical experience is needed, but you should be in good health and used to walking 3 to 6 hours. The main challenge is the altitude, so we recommend acclimatizing in Cusco for at least two days.

What happens if I feel altitude sickness?

Our guides carry emergency oxygen and a first-aid kit. If a traveler does not feel well, the guide will adapt the pace or arrange a horse (where available) or the return to the vehicle.

Is there a horse option?

On Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake local communities rent horses for part of the route. It is paid on site, directly to the local families.
